What is the difference between cleaning, sanitization & disinfection ?

Today we will discuss about the “Cleanup factor”. Currently as we are fighting against COVID-19, I hope that you all are doing well and are safe.

Cleaning.
Cleaning is the most important part of our life because it’s the sign of a healthy lifestyle.
Today in India owing to the current scenario we all come across some words like cleaning, disinfection, & sanitization but what is the actual difference between them?
What is cleaning ??
Cleaning is the process of removing unwanted substances such as dirt, infectious agents, and other impurities, from an object or environment. Cleaning occurs in many different contexts and uses many different methods. Several occupations are devoted to cleaning.
We clean our homes, clothes, electronic gadgets and many more surfaces on daily basis and this is known as Cleaning.

What is the sanitization ?
Sanitization means to remove or to kill germs and bacteria from the surface. This is the second term of cleaning that is mainly used in hospitals, food industries, lab and all sensitive areas. Now a days we all are watching news of sanitization process being done in our country.

What is the Disinfection ?
The process of cleaning something, especially with a chemical, in order to destroy bacteria is called Disinfection. This term is also used in cleaning but in this process we use chemicals to clean the surface area. I’ll give you one example for this.
We all regularly visit a shopping mall and often come across the housekeeping staff continuously cleaning the floor every half in hour and he repeats this process again and again. This means that he is doing this process to disinfect the floor.
